Terms of use
For the unsneak app and unsneak.com. Last updated 22 October 2026.
These terms cover the unsneak app (section 11 onwards) and the unsneak website: the waitlist, the sample Round, Tonight and the Hosts form. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them and to our community promise. How we handle your data is in our privacy notice.
1. Who we are
unsneak is run from Ireland. The registered company name and address will be published here before the app opens to the public. Contact: hello@unsneak.com.
2. Who can use the site
- You must be 18 or over.
- At launch the app will be available in Ireland only, starting with Dublin. It will not be available in the UK or Northern Ireland at launch. The Bengaluru list is a waitlist only.
- One waitlist place per person, using your own email address.
3. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee an invite or a launch date. We invite in waves, women first, to keep rooms balanced and safe. Referrals move you up the list; we may remove places or referrals that look automated, duplicated or fake. Your waitlist position is an estimate and can change.
4. Tonight
- One answer per person per night, up to 80 characters.
- Keep it kind and first-date friendly. No links, usernames, phone numbers or email addresses. No sexual content, hate, harassment, threats, spam or anything about anyone else that they wouldn't want shared.
- You keep ownership of your answer. You give unsneak a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show it anonymously on unsneak (the site, the app, and "Tonight in your city" round-ups), for as long as it's published. Ask us and we'll take it down.
- We may moderate, hide or remove answers, and limit people who break these rules. See our community promise.
5. The sample Round
The Round on our home page is a demonstration. "Rowan" is a sample player, not a real person, and the date ideas are examples, not bookings or endorsements of any venue.
6. Hosts
Registering interest as a Host doesn't create a partnership or listing. Hosting will have separate terms, including organiser verification and listing rules.
7. Our content
The unsneak name, logo, illustrations, prompts and copy belong to us. Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking.
8. Liability
We provide the website as it is, and we work hard to keep it accurate and available. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Irish or EU law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show the date at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
10. Contact
11. The unsneak app: your account
- You must be 18 or over, and you may have one account. If the date of birth you give is under 18, we don't create a profile and we erase the sign-in.
- The app is open in the Republic of Ireland. It isn't available in the UK, including Northern Ireland, yet. Don't use it to get around that, for example by choosing an area you're not in.
- Be yourself: your own photos, your real age, your own words. Keep your sign-in safe; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
12. Courtships and how we treat each other
- Every courtship ends in a date or a goodbye. If you want to stop, say goodbye in the app; courtships with no reply for a long time close on their own, kindly.
- Follow our community promise: respect and consent always, no harassment, hate, sexual content sent without a clear yes, scams, selling, or sharing someone else's details or photos.
- Calls are never recorded by us. Don't record anyone without their clear permission.
- Meet in public, tell a friend, and use the date check-in if you'd like. We can't vet every member and aren't responsible for how other people behave, but we act on every report.
13. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (photos, prompts, messages, voice notes). You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and show it inside unsneak to run the service, only as your settings allow, for as long as it's on your account. We may check it automatically and with people to keep unsneak safe, and remove anything that breaks these terms.
14. Safety, suspension and closing accounts
We may limit, pause or close an account that breaks these terms or puts someone at risk, and tell you why unless that would put someone in danger or the law prevents it. You can ask us to look again by emailing safety@unsneak.com. You can delete your account at any time in the app (You › Settings › Delete my account) or as described on this page.
15. Premium
- Premium is optional. Safety tools, endings, the Dial and seeing who invited you are never paywalled.
- On Android and iPhone you buy and manage Premium through Google Play or the App Store, under their terms. On the web it's billed by Revolut. The price, length and renewal are shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew until you cancel, which you can do at any time in the store (or in the app for web purchases). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you buy on the web from the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw; by asking Premium to start straight away you agree that, if you withdraw, we may keep a proportionate amount for the days used. Store purchases follow the store's refund rules.
16. The app as it is
We work hard to keep unsneak safe, available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or that you'll meet someone. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Irish or EU law, or your rights as a consumer.
